Having spent 20 years in and around recruitment, with a large chunk of that in the agency space, I am more than familiar with the statement “job board advertising doesn’t work”. I regularly hear recruiters claiming that less than 15% of all their jobs are filled by applicants coming via their job board advertising. However, I want to dispel the myth that advertising in recruitment doesn’t work. I will explore some of the reasons why it hasn’t worked and what can be done about it. I will share with you how you can increase submissions by as much as 500% and fill as much as 80% of your jobs directly from job boards and other online media.
